Happy Father's Day

Image
We love you! Joe is such an amazing father to our wonderful children! After working 10 hour days he still comes home and plays with each of them no matter how tired he may be or how hard his day was.  I love the way you love our kids and me! Thanks for being a great dad and husband!

Nails

Image
I always get a pedicure right before we go on vacation in the summer.  This time I thought it would be fun to do this with Cameron and she loved it!  They let her sit with me and put her feet in the water, then they painted her  nails and toes first.  Cameron chose hot pink for her fingers and blue for her toes. Cameron did a great job letting the lady paint her nails and then sat beside me in a separate chair while I had my pedicure done. My toes! Love spending one-on-one time with my girl!

Michael is 3 months old!

Image
Our precious little man is 3 months old, it just doesn't seem right! Everyday it is a joy to watch him interact with us and Cameron.  Michael adores Cameron and if she is within sight you can watch him follow her with his eyes around the room. No stats with this post since we don't go back to the doctors until next month for his 4 month check up.  Some things Michael does do at this point is sitting with support, he LOVES to stand, sucking thumb and fingers, and takes 4 naps a day.   Michael still wakes up usually one to two times a night to nurse but other than that sleeps well. Michael is also starting to laugh at times but is very inconsistent. He still coos a lot and has smiles for almost anyone! Onto pictures!  We love you Michael!

Swimming Lessons

Image
We thought it would be a great idea to put Cameron in swim lessons this summer through the parks and rec department of Bloomington, and we were right! Cameron is having a great time and learning some great skills along the way.  Here is Cameron doing the swim test to see which level she should start in and she is an Angel fish. And a couple of pictures of here taking her turn to float on her tummy and then listening to instructions. So far they have worked on floating on their tummies and backs, getting their heads completely under water, and using the noodle to help them use their arms to swim with. Cameron has one more week for this session and then another two week session in July!

Chicago Trip

Image
We do our annual trip to Chicago so that Joe and his parents can play in a golf outing sponsored The Backyard Steak Pit.  Here we are at dinner at a Japanese Steak house. Michael and Auntie Becky and then the girls hiding Cameron during the fire portion. Michael on me sleeping, then hanging out with Gramps and Mr. Mike. On the day of the golf outing I and Auntie Becky took the kids to a McDonald's play area where Cameron had a great time and Michael slept the whole time! We were able to see a lot of our friends up there and I am sad to say I didn't get a single picture of Michael with them.  But we had a great time catching up and hanging out with friends and family!

State Farm Play Day

Image
State Farm puts on a "Play Day" every year for their employees and families.  We parked at the offices and rode in school buses to the park. Cameron loved her first bus ride there and had a very nice seat partner to talk too.  On the Ferris Wheel which Cameron and Joe stood in line for and finally got to ride and the time frame for just this one ride was a little over an hour.  However, it was a fifteen min ride!  Cameron on a kiddie dragon roller coaster. Finally Cameron got her face painted like a butterfly from the Zoo Lady. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again.  There was so much to do but we were only able to be there for half a day so the next time we do it again we will plan to be there the whole time.
