Simpson's Journey

We have not had a lot of snow this winter season, and definitely not enough to be able to play in, until today! We received 3-4 inches and the kids had a ton of fun! Chewie likes the snow too, he tries to eat it and catch it as it falls.

This was our first snow and the kids were excited! They enjoy it a lot and love playing in the snow with friends and trying to make snowmen!

I used to watch Audra and Trace before and after school, but right before Michael was born we stopped! Cameron has never forgotten and frequently ask to see them.  Well, we do see them from time to time and I knew that on Presidents Day they would have off of school so I invited them to spend the day with us and Cameron couldn't have been happier! We started off with playing inside and Michael loved being with them! After lunch and when Michael went down for his afternoon nap the kids went out to play while I shoveled! Then a little more play inside. Michael loved playing with Trace and the balls! We all had a wonderful time!

We love it when it snows! Cameron loves to play and make snow angels and swinging in her swing! I love these times with her!

The day we left NC we received another snow fall and it wasn't much like before but we were able to still play in it for a bit.  Cameron and I bundled up and went outside.  Playing in the snow with her outside kitchen and swinging.  Then I realized that the snow was packable so we made a small snowman. Cameron loved doing that!  Going down the slide! Making snow angels and throwing snow at Daddy!

 Our first snow, which didn't give us much, but was fun to play in! Audra, Trace, and Cameron had fun making snow angels, throwing, and playing in it!     Afterwards, I made the kids some hot chocolate!

It snowed on the 3rd of this month and Cameron and I were excited because this was the first measurable snow, only 1/2 inch, this winter season! And as you can see from the pictures already melting because of the 40 degree weather we had right after it snowed. People tease up here because we haven't had a particularly snowy winter yet. Also, the temps have not been average like on this day were it was 50 and Cameron and I were able to play outside in Janurary! My big girl who couldn't reach these black rings back in October can now on her tip toes do it! And then a few more days later we get about 3-5 inches of snow! Later on that afternoon I needed to shovel so I let Cameron and the two children I keep after school play in the snow for a bit! And then the temp went up to about 40 again and it was really sunny and now the snow is gone again! Oh well we hope we get lots more to play in!
