Temperature

On Sunday Cameron ran a moderate fever of 101.5, of course we immediately gave her some infant Tylenol and tons of hugs, kisses, and snugging. When it was time for bed she had a small fever of 100.4 which I was very thankful for it going down. More Tylenol and off to bed where she slept from 8 pm to 6:15am with out any problems. So after about an hour of being awake ( I didn't want the warmth of the bed to affect the temperature reading) I took her temp and it was 98.8 YEA!!! Cameron was definitely feeling better. Glad that is over with and didn't have to make a trip to the doctor's office!

SWING

Image
I have been wanting a swing for Cameron girl for a while, and I finally found it at Wal-Mart. Joe put it up for us and we put her in it and she loves it! We figured she would since we call her our little dare devil. Not much else to say but look at the pictures and watch the video of her!

Cameron and her voice

Cameron loves her voice and she uses it to scream. She just loves it! Here is a video that my sister Christy took while we were at Grandpa and Grandma's place. Here is another video of her at our house doing the same thing.

Having fun!

Cameron likes being in her exersaucer and the other day I realized she had figured out how to make the horse move. The horse moves back and forth and makes a ticking sound when moving. Cameron for the longest time wouldn't really play with it because she couldn't get it to move the way she wanted it too. So she problem solved and figured it out. Watch the video to see what she does! Such a smart girl.

8 months old

Image
Cameron Nicole Simpson turned 8 months old on Sunday! It is truly amazing to watch her grow. Joe and I can't believe that it has been 8 months since she was born, and she is ever growing and changing! We love our precious Cameron girl and can't wait to see how she will grow into a woman of God! How is Cameron doing?.... Feedings - Cameron is nursing 4 times during the day, and eating solids 3 times a day. Cameron eats rice cereal, oatmeal, peas, sweet potatoes, green beans (if mixed), bananas, apples, and peaches. Her favorites seem to be peas and apples. We start pears today followed by squash. Movement - still rolling everywhere, can sit but can't get to a sitting position on her own, loves to stand and 'walk' but can't pull herself up, and not crawling yet but we hope she will accomplish that soon. Sleep - most days she takes 2 naps and sometimes 3, she is working on dropping that third nap, and she sleeps at night from 8 to around 6:30-7:00 in the morning. T...

After lunch

So one day after lunch I decided that Cameron was being too cute in her chair, so I got out the camera! There is not much to say except just enjoy the pictures of our sweet baby girl!

Outdoor time

Image
Cameron seems to enjoy being pushed in the stroller around our neighborhood and we do it quite often. On our walk a couple of weeks ago she lost a sock. Well, a week ago when we were on our walk we found her sock! I had already thrown the other one out but wanted to get a picture of the 'found' one before I threw it out. Funny how it was still there a week later! It just so happens that one of our neighbors on that same day said that she had saw a baby sock and I told her it was ours and we got a good laugh out of it. Cameron and I were outside on our back deck just enjoying the nice day and then two butterflies came around. It was neat to see Cameron trying to follow the butterflies. The butterflies were going everwhere but seemed to like staying near our deck. I love watching our girl watch other things that she hasn't noticed before!

Sweet Potatoes and More

Image
Cameron is really getting the hang of things when it comes to eating. For lunch the other day we had some sweet potatoes and rice cereal mixed with apple sauce. All foods are home made and I have enjoyed doing it! Cameron will eat the amount of food that I put in front of her! Right now she is eating peas, apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes. I have tried green beans and was unsuccessful but we will be trying those again real soon. We start peaches on Sunday (9-13) and I hope that it will be as successful has her other fruits. I am still working on serving sizes. Right now for lunch I have dropped the rice cereal and doing an ounce of veg and an ounce of fruit and whatever new food item we are trying. Dinner is 3 tbl of rice cereal, an ounce of veg and an ounce of fruit. Cameron eats is all! So other moms out there should or could she eat 2 oz of veg and fruit per meal? (that is what a serving size from a jar would be) Joe and I are definitely thinking of going that route just wa...

Cameron and Flair again

Image
Cameron loves to play with Flair's toys. Especially this one, it is a tire with a bell inside. Cameron was trying to take the toy away from Flair the other day and I had to capture it with some pictures. Here I go can I get it? Flair doesn't know what to think, but Cameron's got a hand on it! Flair is saying "no way that is my toy!" Looks like Flair won! Flair was very gentle with her. If he doesn't like what she is doing he will just get up and leave. I am so proud of our little pup that he hasn't tried to harm her when she wants to be near him and mess with him. Here is a short video of Cameron messing with Flair and he does makes some throaty noises at her.

Banana flavor puffs

Image
We have started her on some puff finger foods to eat while mommy and daddy have dinner. Cameron does well with picking them up and almost getting them in her mouth. Well we were at Joe's parents and it wasn't quite dinner time for her but we decided to let her have some puffs. Cameron was so cute she would have Dad put it in his hand and then instead of using her fingers she would just bend down and pick it up with her mouth! Too cute! What a silly girl!
