Simpson's Journey

I realized that the little pool we had here at the house was not big enough anymore for Cameron to really play in. So I went to Wal-Mart and found a bigger pool for a good price and brought it home so we can play. Joe mentioned using the slide with the pool and then I wondered why I didn't think of that!   Then our friends came over and the girls all had a blast playing together!

Cameron had her very first dental appointment the other day and of course, I had to take pictures of it! I was truly impressed with Cameron and how well she did! Bree our hygienist was awesome with her! getting started Getting the chair in position The only problem we had was that Cameron wouldn't keep her mouth open very wide.  Bree and I both had to keep reminding her that she needed to open wider so that Bree could do her job! Our dental office is great it has TV's in the rooms and Cameron was able to watch her favorite show Caillou while getting her teeth cleaned. Cameron did well and never complained about getting her teeth scraped. Cameron getting her teeth polished. She chose bubble gum flavor paste. All Done!  Cameron did an amazing job!

Every evening after dinner, and while I am cleaning up Joe and Cameron have play time! They run/chase, tickle and have a great time! It warms my heart to see/hear them interact like that! So I took some pictures one of the times so I could post it here. Tickle fun on the couch! Here Cameron wanted to put Daddy to sleep so he obliged and closed his eyes while she read him a bed time story! I know that Joe cherishes this time with Cameron and I pray that she will one day appreciate her daddy for taking time every night to play with her!

I had the kids towards the end of May and it was warm enough to go to the splash park at Tipton!  I have blogged about Tipton a bunch but it really is a great park!  Anyway, we went there and I had Joe surprise the kids with McDonald's for lunch, and we had a great time!

We had a very busy weekend the first weekend of June. Joe's parents came in on Thursday night and then on Friday we all drove up to the Chicago area to spend the weekend with Joe's sisters and friends for the weekend. Cameron was a trooper especially when we were eating out for lunch and dinner the entire weekend. It was a lot of fun hanging out with our family. We had good conversations, great food and fun! These pictures were taken over Trace and Audra's Spring break and we went to Tipton Park and State Farm Park to play and the kids had a great time playing together.

Happy Birthday to our friend Benjamin!  We had a great time playing at their house with some of our other friends.  It was rather hot this day so the water table was a nice addition! Cameron liked the playset the most but did eventually make it to the water table.

Grandma and Gramps took Cameron to a park on Ocean Isle Beach and she had a great time playing on the equipment and playing with the sand!  Cameron loves playing in the sand and does so every chance she gets :)

On Friday Kim Shoemaker, took Cameron and I to Raleigh and to Heather's house!  Cameron got to meet Heather's kids and I finally got to meet sweet Ephram.  Cameron took to Cailey right away and had fun playing with her new sweet friends! After we had lunch and the kids played for a bit Heather, Cameron and I drove down to Ocean Isle Beach to spend the night with Joe's parents and so that Cameron could spend the weekend with her grandparents while I had my girl weekend! Little did Heather know that our good friend Anne and I planned to surprise her with Anne coming ! Heather was trying very hard to get Anne to come and Anne eluded her! It was so much fun surprising Heather!  Heather couldn't believe it! Saturday morning came and Heather, Anne and I went out to lunch, shopping at the outlets, dinner at a Seafood restaurant, then to the condo to check in and hang out on the beach taking pictures in our new dresses! Cameron and I flew to NC for a week to see grandparents and for me to have a girl weekend at the beach. One of my best friends, Kim, came and picked us up from the airport and we had lunch with her at Cracker Barrel.  Kim drove us back to her house. Cameron got to play in Olivia's room and then with Olivia once she came home from school. Kim and I were able to chat and catch up with each other. My sister Kim came and picked us up and then we spent the next couple of days and got to spend time with her, Harmi, and Pawpa.  It was really warm in Winston-Salem so we went out and bought Cameron a pool to play in.  As you can see, Cameron had a blast! We had a good time with Emo Kim at the mall too! Cameron loved playing in the play area and getting to ride the Carousel! We had such a great time with Harmi, Pawpa, and Emo Kim!
