The Aunties, Matt and the dogs came down for Joe's birthday weekend. We had a lot of fun together and finally got to meet Badger, Christ and Matt's new English Bulldog. We hung out around the house and played with Badger and the kids got some good quality time with their Aunties. Happy 36th birthday Joe! We love you so much! Michael just loves his Auntie Becky! Badger! Joe and his birthday cake (Boston Cream Pie) Cameron and her Auntie Christy!

Happy Father's Day

We love you! Joe is such an amazing father to our wonderful children! After working 10 hour days he still comes home and plays with each of them no matter how tired he may be or how hard his day was.  I love the way you love our kids and me! Thanks for being a great dad and husband!

On our way to NC for Christmas!

I know you are finally getting to see some stuff from when we were in NC, I am trying to catch up! So here we all are waiting at our gate at Chicago O'Hare Airport. It was fun flying with the aunties! Cameron trying to get comfortable to take a nap on the plane, but the poor thing just couldn't do it! Finally at Grandma and Gramp's place.  Cameron was wonderful on the plane and crashed on the car ride from the Wilmington Airport to Shallotte. Cameron loved sleeping on the air mattress!

Dinner

Joe was making a roast the other night and he wanted to melt some butter to put into the roast. Well he did the butter a little too long in the microwave.... Yep, butter is everywhere! But the roast was very good! Joe did a really great job with it and I love that he is wanting to do more things like this on the weekend for dinners! LOVE YOU JOE!

Happy Birthday Joe!

Ok, so I know that I am a day late for this post but blogging yesterday was just not happening. So happy birthday to a wonderful husband, father, friend, spiritual leader of our family, and the most amazing man I know! Thank you Joe, for working so hard and putting in the long hours so that I may stay at home with our precious girl Cameron! Thanks for coming home and playing with your girl even if you have had a rough day at work and is tired! Thank you for doing the small chores around the house when Cameron is occupying my time. I love you and appreciate you so much! I am thankful that God has brought us together going on 13 years in September of knowing each other and 9 years of marriage next February. You are amazing!

Take after my Dad

Cameron has curly hair, well only when it is wet. It is amazing to see which features comes from Joe or I. The curly hair is definitely Joe, my hair is straight as the day is long! You wouldn't know that Joe has curly hair because he keeps it so short, but when it was long (way back in the day) it had a lot of body to it, and that is where Cameron gets hers from. Cameron also has Joe's ears, the rest we are still out on debate, but for now she definitely has Joe characteristics about her!

24 week Dr. Visit

Image
My 24 week appointment let us do another sonogram! It was awesome to see better pictures of Cameron this time around. And yes, she is a girl! Cameron weighs just over 1 lb and she is as strong as ever. Cameron's bones look good and healthy, we were able to see the brain, stomach and heart. The heart is beating around 146 beats per minute. Cameron is growing by leaps and bounds! It is truly amazing to see how much our little girl has grown since the last visit! My doctor says everything looks fine and my weight and blood pressure are good. Cameron was still a little shy when it came to really seeing her, as far as showing us that she is a girl but Joe said that it is good because she is learning to be modest!  I go back on Nov. 11th for my 28 week appointment, which I get to do the glucose test, then I start going every 2 weeks. On my 30 week appointment I will have another sonogram done and that will be my last unless complications arise. I am glad that we got ...

Joe and Cameron

Joe felt Cameron kick this morning! It was only once and not very strong but he still felt it! We were in bed cuddling and I was on my right and his hand was on my belly. I don't normally feel Cameron too much on my right so I turned over to my left and placed his hand on my belly where I usually feel Cameron. And sure enough in about a couple of minutes Joe felt her! I can't wait until Joe can feel her more as she gets stronger with her kicks, jabs, pokes what have you.

90% Sure

Hello to all! Joe and I had our sonogram appointment today in hopes that we would be able to find out the sex of our baby. Well....the nurse was only 90% sure that it is a GIRL! Only 90% because the baby was upside down and 'she' was facing down. "Her' head was down near my bladder and 'her' feet are up at the top of the stomach. The image on the machine was so fuzzy that we really couldn't tell what we were looking at. We did see the spine and the top of the head. The nurse showed us the femurs and the stomach.. So no measurements, no new pictures and only 90% sure of the sex, however, she was able to get a weight on the baby and 'she' is 11.5 oz. We did get to hear the heart beat again and it was 152 beats and very strong! Good news is that we get to go back in 4 weeks to do the sonogram all over again! We go back on Oct 14th at 3:00pm and we are going to hopefully see and get the measurements that the nurse needs and be 100% sure that the b...

Joe's 30th

Image
So Joe turned 30 this past Sunday and we had a blast! We drove up to his parents on the Thursday before his birthday and that is when we surprised him with tickets to go see the CUBS play on Friday! Joe has never been to a Cubs game and was totally excited. The other surprise I had for Joe was to have the board at the Cubs game say happy birthday! Joe was so surprised that it had his name on the board! On Saturday we went out for dinner to celebrate Joe and his Mom's birthday and on Sunday we had a little cook out with some of our friends so that we could do something ON Joe's birthday! Of course, keeping with the Cubs theme for the weekend, I had a Cubs cake for Joe. It was a long weekend but well worth seeing Joe's surprised face with the tickets and his name on the Cubs board! I love you Joe!
