Sitting Up

9 months

Image
Cameron had her 9 month doctor's visit today even though she turned 9 months last week. The doctor says she is in good health but would like to see her weight increase some more. At her 6 month check up Cameron weighted 13lb 13oz today she weighted 14lb 12oz, she only gained 1 pound! Cameron is eating fruits and vegetables and cereal but obviously I am not giving her enough of those things. So the doctor told to give her more food and try to plump her up and we go back for a weight check on Nov 30. Cameron has definitely dropped the thrid nap of the day, she now has 8 total teeth and she can finally sit up by herself meaning she can get from a laying position to a sitting one by herself! We are so proud of her for accomplishing that! A video of her doing that is to come. Nothing else new really here. Pray that our girl gains the weight that she needs and that we will see a significant improvement at our next dr visit! Now I leave you with some pictures!

Ready for Halloween

Image
I found this shirt at the dollar spot at Target and had to get it for our little girl! We are not officially doing Halloween this year because she is too small and I don't want to stroll her around getting candy that she will never eat and that Joe and I shouldn't eat!  Next year we will do something, she will be 21 months old and it will be fun for her this year it would only be fun for Joe and I.  I have another shirt that says 'got candy' in candy corn letters so that is cute too! Isn't Cameron getting so big?!

Daddy Time

Image
Cameron is so funny with Joe! She just lights up whenever he is near her and she seems so mesmerized by him.  I just love it when they are playing together! SO, I wanted to capture this moment not too long ago when they were playing on the floor before Cameron got ready for bed. With Joe working 10 hours a day I know that he is tired when he finally gets home but he is always willing to play with Cameron! She loves her daddy so much!

Sorry

I know that I haven't posted in a while but I have an excuse...I had a terrible sore throat since last Saturday and even went to the doctors to make sure it wasn't strep on Tuesday. My throat was inflamed, my lympnodes were tender and I had puss on my tonsils.  Thankfully, the strep test was negative and so was the culture test and today (Friday) my throat is back to normal.  Also on Tuesday I started to have an allergic reaction to something, and the only thing I could think that I had done differently was a throat spray.  The reaction started in my right hand and it was basically one big red blob, then it spread through out my entire body with red dots/bumps and I itched like crazy. Took benedryl and finally today the redness and itching is fading /dying down.  So this week wasn't fun for me and I was really cautious around Cameron but her and Joe never became sick well as of today they haven't become sick so I hope that they don't get whatever I had. I am sor...

Oops!

At the dinner table the other night Cameron was reaching for her Cheerios and puffs when bam they spill everywhere! On her, the floor, and her chair! It was too cute so thankfully I keep my camera handy, ran and got it and took some pics of this incident. I am actually surprised Flair wasn't there instantaneously to eat the food off of the floor. I was able to use my handy dandy hand vac and cleaned it all up!

A visit to Champaign

Image
Cameron with my friend Chris Garrett I went to Champaign on Thursday to see some of my old coworkers and friends and so that they could see Cameron. Of course, Cameron was a hit and did such an awesome job hanging out with Mommy and her friends. Chris was the other Hearing Impaired Itinerant teacher that I worked with and we became good friends in the process so after seeing everyone Chris and I and Chris' student teacher went to lunch at the mall in Champaign. It was so good seeing you Chris and Cameron and I had a wonderful time! Can't wait to do it again sometime!

Too Big!

Image
If you can't tell it is a Star Wars onsie that Joe's sister Christy gave to Cameron at Easter. Well it has been too big for Cameron to wear (our itty bitty) but since she is just over 8 months old I figured a 6-12 mo outfit should fit her now.....nope it looks like a dress on her! The front has a picture of Darth Vader and it says 'My Dad Rules the Galaxy' too cute on our baby girl and it is right up Dad's ally. Thanks Aunt Christy for the onsie too bad it is still big on her but we did wear it all day!
