6 month pictures

As most of you know we did 6 month pictures yesterday and they have already been posted to facebook thanks to Joe! For those of you who want to see them if you haven't already click here to see them! They are really adorable! Cameron did an excellent job even though she was tired because she didn't get a full nap in before we did the pictures. Cameron was a trooper and did great!

Dr. Appt. and our Rollie Pollie

Image
Cameron had her 6 month appointment today. Cameron hasn't grown too much but the doctor seems satisfied with her progress. Cameron is currently 25 inches long, weights 13lbs 11oz, and her head circumference is 15 1/2 inches. At 4 months she was 24 in long, weighed 12lb 10oz and her head was 15 in; but hey, at least she is growing right? We talked about us starting her on solids and our doctor said that it would be alright to go ahead with veggies due to her age. The only thing that I forgot to ask is if and when we can start water and or juice. Cameron also received three shots today and was a champ, she cried very little and as soon as the shots were over with and I picked her up she was finished crying! My brave little girl. Now onto our Rollie Pollie! I did a blog the other day about her rolling over from her tummy to her back, which she started on July 9th. Well I left her on the floor on her back and went to let Flair out, to get something to drink, and get her a teething r...

Rice Cereal

Image
Ready..........................................Set..................................................Eat! Ok so she didn't really care for it! I mixed the rice cereal with formula that I had that was free and we didn't know specifically if it was the formula taste that she didn't like, the texture, the consistency or just the rice cereal. So we didn't push too hard. Now on to day two of eating. Way much better! We used water instead of formula and she seemed to like it! Cameron didn't spit too much out, actually she swallowed a lot more that I thought she would. She even had smiles for her mom and dad! Towards the end she wanted to help she would grab the spoon and pull it towards her mouth! I am glad that we used water but again was the consistency better this time or was it the formula? Obviously it wasn't the rice cereal since she actually ate it. Who knows we are going to keep trying and see how things go!

6 months and counting

Image
That's right our Cameron girl is now 6 months old! It is amazing that she is already half way to her first birthday! Our Cameron is so special to us! Some of the things that she is doing...she loves sitting up and can do this unassisted for a good amount of time. She can't pull her self up to a sitting position yet, she still needs help from Mommy or Daddy. Cameron also loves standing. I am not sure that she is going to crawl at this point. Cameron can finally roll over from her tummy to her back. Which makes having tummy time that more difficult because she doesn't want to stay on her tummy now that she can roll over. If laying on her back she strains to sit up lifting her head and legs off the ground like a crunch. We started rice cereal (that's another post) and she seems to like it. Cameron is 'talking' a lot more than she used to and sometimes I think that she is singing :) The out fit that...

Rolling over!

Yea!!! Our baby girl can finally roll over! Cameron did it for the first time a while back but it must have been a fluke because she didn't do it again until this past Thursday (7-9) at the beach and then at Harmi and Papaw's she became more consistant and now we can't keep her on her tummy! We are so proud of you Cameron girl! Now lets work on rolling from our back to our tummy! The first video is her on Harmi and Papaw's bed rolling over and the second is at our house after we came back from the beach! We love you so much Cameron girl!

Our Family

Image
We finally made it to Winston-Salem! It was so good to see my mom and dad and my sister Kim! Cameron had a wonderful time with her Harmi and Papaw and Emo Kim! Cameron enjoyed playing with them, laughing and giving them tons of smiles! Wished we lived closer so that my family could enjoy Cameron more but right now that is not what God wants for us. While we were in Winston-Salem we were able to see my grandmother and Cameron's Great Grandma from my dad's side. It was really good seeing her and watching Cameron and great Grandma interact! We love you Grandma! Just like we did with Joe's side of the family, see the blog here , we had to get a generation photo with my side! My dad, Cameron, me and my grandmother from the Lefevre side. We love you Harmi, Papaw, Emo Kim, and Great Grandma can't wait to see you the next time we are there!

Seeing old Friends

Image
During our vacation we were fortunate enough to be able to get together with some of our good friends. First, we were able to do lunch with Joe's friend from high school Krystal and her kids. We ate lunch at an Applebee's in between Wilmington and Ocean Isle. It was nice finally meeting Krystal for the first time and for her and Joe to do some catching up! Then on our way to Winston to get to my family we stopped and had lunch with the Barbour's! Heather , Brian and their kids met up with us at a McDonald's to have lunch and so that the could meet Cameron for the first time. It was so good to see them! We went to college together and have been good friends ever since. I loved that we were able to see them and we had a great time. Kinsey and Cameron A couple of Cailey and Cameron My girl Heather and I with Cameron Thanks so much for taking time out of your days to see us Krystal and the Barbour's! We really enjoyed seeing you all!

Our time at the Beach

Image
Ok so these pictures are not in order. Cameron cried the first time we took her to the beach. She didn't like the sand or the water. The second time was better. I was able to sit her in the sand and get some water on her. I don't think that she liked the waves coming up on her. Just enjoy the pictures!

Start to our Vacation

Image
We started driving on Wednesday evening in hopes that Cameron would sleep to our destination and we couldn't have been more wrong. We left around 7pm and her bed time is 8 so when she feel asleep around 7:30 we were like great she is asleep! Cameron woke up around 8:15 and never went back to sleep! We arrived at our destination outside of Indianapolis at 11:30 eastern time. Then Cameron didn't even go to sleep until after 12:30 am! Not a good night! Anyways we finished driving on Thursday and arrived in High Point and stayed with our good friends Kim and Todd. On Friday morning we got up and went to IHOP to meet friends from our time with Youth for Christ and we had a wonderful time.
