Simpson's Journey

Our beloved pet Flair passed away on June 16th, and he was not doing well long before that. Flair was 14 years old and Joe and mines first "kid". WE loved him dearly and are so thankful for the long and full life he lived! We will always remember the way Flair loved his tennis balls,snuggling up with the warm dryer clothes and chasing the flash light beam. Flair was great when Cameron and then Michael came along he played with them and loved them too! We love you Flairbear!

Flair loves to lay in the sun. Our guest room provides such an opportunity for him in the mornings. This particular morning Cameron was being really sweet with Flair, something she doesn't always do, and wanted to be with him on the bed. Of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a couple of pictures to capture the moment!

The other day Cameron's 'Bunny' was on the bed and Flair decided he wanted to sleep with it! Here is a picture I just took today with Cameron in our tree in our front yard.  She did really well holding on and smiling for me!

Not to long ago I was trying to get Cameron ready to go out for to do some errands. I had gotten Flair into his room and put up the gate at the door. Cameron came over and wanted to put these toys in with Flair, I am assuming, so he would have something to do ;-) Then she wanted to go into his room and open up the toys in the box for him. Finally, Cameron actually wanted me to put the gate back up at the door and leave her there with Flair. With some coaxing I got her out and the toys did stay with Flair until we got home. How sweet is our girl?

Notice Flair is drinking his water in peace. Now he is not alone. Cameron loves it when Flair is drinking his water. She will giggle and squeal! Silly Girl!

Cameron loves to play with Flair. It is fun to watch Cameron follow Flair around trying to take his toys away from him and then to give them back. Cameron loves getting kisses from Flair and giving him kisses. Sometimes I think Cameron rather play with Flairs toys than her own.

Cameron loves to play with Flair's toys. Especially this one, it is a tire with a bell inside. Cameron was trying to take the toy away from Flair the other day and I had to capture it with some pictures. Here I go can I get it? Flair doesn't know what to think, but Cameron's got a hand on it! Flair is saying "no way that is my toy!" Looks like Flair won! Flair was very gentle with her. If he doesn't like what she is doing he will just get up and leave. I am so proud of our little pup that he hasn't tried to harm her when she wants to be near him and mess with him. Here is a short video of Cameron messing with Flair and he does makes some throaty noises at her.

Cameron loves it when Flair gets close enough for her to reach out and touch! She loves touching him and she doesn't mind when he gives her tons of kisses! Just the other day I was helping her pet Flair and he was kissing her she just started laughing! So sweet! Flair is really starting to be comfortable around her and being careful around her too.

I was playing on the floor with Cameron and I looked up and saw this! Flair was content staring out the window to the back yard. A beautiful sunny afternoon! We try to make sure we give him as much lovin' as possible! It can be hard with Cameron. So I try to play with him and give him lots of love when she is napping or down for the night.

Cameron is such a joy to have! When she is alert she can be so happy and content it is amazing to see her like this! Here Cameron and Flair are just chillin'! Having fun on our blanket. Loving our changing table! Cameron use to cry a lot when she was on the changing table but not anymore. She just has a grand time!
