Time with Dad

Image
These are pictures of Cameron bouncing on Joe. Cameron just loves it and will stop crying almost instantly when Joe puts her on his knee. Cameron smiles right away and has a great time with Dad! Here are a couple of short clips of her bouncing with Joe.

Kim Shoemaker

Image
My best friend Kim came up to visit and help us out this past weekend. We really enjoyed having Kim here to help with Cameron when I could get things done. Joe and I even got to go grocery shopping together while Cameron stayed home with Kim. We really appreciate you coming Kim and enjoyed the time that we shared. Too bad these are the only pictures I got of you and Cameron :(

2 Months Old

Image
Our sweet Cameron girl turned two months today (3/20)! We had our two month wellness appointment on Monday and received 3 shots plus and oral medicine. Cameron, of course, cried but I must admit so did I. I couldn't help it and in fact I teared up even before the nurse came in to do the shots. Cameron is 22.5 inches long (50th%) her weight was 9 lb 15.5 oz ( 25th%) and her head was 14 inches (5th%). I am glad that she is growing and gaining weight. Joe and I decided to put her in the same outfit we did her one month pictures in and she is still a bit small for the outfit, but it is a really cute outfit! Ok the things she does well: cry :), smile, can lift her head, can even hold it up for a few moments, make cooing noises , responds when Joe and I talk to her, loves being bounced by Joe . Things that she doesn't do so well: tummy time (just recently will cry while on stomach), and nap (ok let me clarify will nap well if on a person just not in her crib will wake aft...

More Floor Fun!

Just a couple of cute pictures of our Cameron! And now onto clips of her being on the floor!

Floor fun and Tummy Time

Here is a of short clip of Cameron having fun on the floor and one doing Tummy Time.

Bouncer Time

Image
Cameron loves being in her bouncer. Just recently she has started really paying attention to the things that move i.e. the aquarium items and the things that hang from it. It is so neat to see her mesmerized by the movements and the sounds of the water. Cameron is such a blessing to Joe and I!

short clips of Cameron

Cameron enjoying the changing table! I hope that all of you enjoy!

Our Alert Little Girl

Image
Cameron is such a joy to have! When she is alert she can be so happy and content it is amazing to see her like this! Here Cameron and Flair are just chillin'! Having fun on our blanket. Loving our changing table! Cameron use to cry a lot when she was on the changing table but not anymore. She just has a grand time!

Brooke

Image
Our good friend, and former Campus Lifer, Brooke came to see the new edition to the Simpson Family from Feb. 26 through March 2nd. We didn't do much but sit around the house caught up on our lives and had a fun time with Cameron. It was funny every time we wanted to take a picture of Cameron and Brooke, Cameron would start to cry. However, I think that we got a good picture right before Brooke left. Thanks for coming Brooke we had a great time!

My struggles

I have been struggling a lot here, well ever since Cameron was born, with getting her on some type of schedule. OK, Joe would say that I have been obsessive about it, and he would be right. I do love my baby girl very much, but I have lost sight of just loving Cameron and being with her. I have also lost my focus on what God would have me do. I don't go to Him enough when things seem to be rough. I have been praying and reading my bible but it isn't enough, I need to start focusing on Him and going to Him for help and guidance. No one said that this part of the journey was going to be easy. It is a learning process. Joe has been very helpful in trying to help me figure things out, but since I am the one home with her the majority of the time, I am the one who is needing to be consistent in what I want to do with her. To those of you out there who pray, pray that I turn to God when I am in doubt of things and that I don't lose my focus on Him. Pray that I t...

Take after my Dad

Image
Cameron has curly hair, well only when it is wet. It is amazing to see which features comes from Joe or I. The curly hair is definitely Joe, my hair is straight as the day is long! You wouldn't know that Joe has curly hair because he keeps it so short, but when it was long (way back in the day) it had a lot of body to it, and that is where Cameron gets hers from. Cameron also has Joe's ears, the rest we are still out on debate, but for now she definitely has Joe characteristics about her!
