Using a Spoon

Image
Cameron has shown interest in using her spoon on more than one occasion but this time she really wanted to do it herself. So why not? I want her to be self sufficient when it comes to eating. I believe that she is eating peaches that I have chopped up. Nah....my hands are easier and faster and I can get more in my mouth! OK, I guess I will try to use the spoon again. Nope this is much easier! Since I have taken these pictures Cameron has tried using her spoon more and more and she still isn't really good at it. I am just excited that she is willing and wanting to use it to eat with!

14 months old

Image
Joe and I can't believe that our Cameron girl is already 14 months old! Cameron is such a joy to be around! She is really starting to move and I mean walking. Cameron still falls down a lot and is starting to get bruises from her falls but she doesn't complain too much and there are times I find bruises on her and don't even know how she got them. Cameron loves to play with her daddy and loves time with her mommy :) Our schedule is really good right now, eating three times a day plus one snack, and taking two naps a day one at 10 in the morning and one at around 3 in the afternoon. Each nap is about 1hr to 1hr 15-30min long. Cameron usually goes down with out fussing and she even reaches for her crib during my routine :) There are times she does cry at nap time and it is usually her afternoon nap but it is rare and the crying usually last only 10-15 min. I love that I can put her in her crib and walk out and know that she will go to sleep. Cameron will play in her cri...

Shoes for Cameron

Image
So we did decide to go with Stride Rite, since everyone and their mother's were telling us it was the top of the line for children shoes. Thanks again Harmi and Papaw for buying them we love you! So, of course, I wanted to capture this moment and blog about it. Joe was awesome taking all the pictures for me! LOVE YOU JOE!! When we got to the Stride Rite store we were the only ones there and it was nice to have the store to ourselves. I felt like I could really let Cameron walk around and really get a feel for the shoes. So the nice lady is measuring her foot. Cameron, as most of you know is really petite and her foot is only a size 3. Trying on the shoes for the first time. Standing up and moving around. Cameron has done really well this week with her shoes. (we got them on Saturday of last) I have had her in them from about noon until her 3 o'clock nap each day. Today she even handed them to me as I was getting her ready to go outside to play. Cameron understands that she ...

Just half of the Oreo

Image
I only gave her the cookie and only one side of the Oreo I ate the other and the cream! Can't believe how messy she got with just one little chocolate disc :)

Nice Outside

Image
The weather has been off and on with it being absolutely gorgeous for several days and then rainy and cloudy for several days. Here are some pictures from last week when it was really nice and in the lower 60's for our temps. Cameron loves to go outside and I will willingly oblige if the weather is nice. Now the rest of the pictures are from a different day. I love this one a lot!

Surprise Visit Part 2

Image
So we got to Nana's on Saturday afternoon and left on Sunday afternoon to surprise my parents and sister Kim. It again was for only 24 hours but great while it lasted and I know very much appreciated by all! Here are some pictures of Cameron with her Harmi and Papaw, too bad we didn't get any pictures of Cameron with Emo Kim. The next time we will be able to see either side will be in July when we go down to NC for our annual beach vacation. Can't wait to see everyone then! Cameron didn't want to be held to take this picture with Papaw! The next two pictures with Papaw are really good! I am so glad it was sunny and nice that day! Couldn't get all three looking at the camera at the same time :) Cameron is saying she has had enough of the picture taking!

Surprise Visit Part 1

Image
At the end of February Joe and I decided to make an impromptu trip to NC to surprise family members! Joe's parents were already going to be at Nana's for Uncle Kenny's birthday so we decided to start there first. It was great to surprise them there, and to be able to see them with Cameron. Joe's Aunt Cathy and Uncle Rick also came and we had a great 24 hours with them. Cameron loves to play with my wallet! Cameron can sit still for long periods of time just pulling everything out and trying to put it all back in. So that is what she is doing in these first couple of pictures. Aunt Cathy decided to come over and help out. Then Uncle Rick..... And this what happened after Uncle Rick Too funny! Cameron would give Uncle Rick kisses but didn't like him just looking at her! Three different times that night when Rick looked at her, Cameron just burst into tears..priceless! N...

So I finally have found something that will stay in Cameron's hair...little rubber bands! Now she looks like Pebbles from the Flintstones. What do you guys think?
