Library

Image
Last week Ronald McDonald came to our library and I decided to see how Cameron girl would do. We invited our friends Ms. Kari and Connor and the kids did pretty well! The 'show' was a little long and we didn't even stay for the whole thing because Cameron and Connor were getting antsy. Kari and I both thought that it was definitely for older kids (4 and up), even though the kids did well. So we left early and went up to the children section of the library and let the kids play for a bit. I took a some shots of them playing together. They have these big pillows of different animals and insects. This day they had out a snail and a turtle I think. Connor and Cameron liked playing on the pillows!

18 Months

Image
It is hard to believe that Cameron is already 18 months old! It is also hard to believe that it is almost August! Cameron is growing and learning so much. We had her 18 month Dr. appointment yesterday and the her doctor is still concerned about her weight. Cameron weighs 19 1/2 lbs and is 30 inches long. Cameron is still below the 3% line on the charts. Joe and I are doing what we can to make her eat but we can't force the food down her throat. Joe and I both believe that she is healthy and that she just has a pretty high metabolism. Joe and I were both small as children so we are not quiet as concerned yet. We go back at the beginning of October to have a weight check done on her. Also, the doctor is concerned with her speech development. He mentioned doing early intervention with Cameron. Cameron is still not talking, she doesn't even say mama or dada. Cameron does however, babble a lot! And she talks to her toys and other such things like the phone. Cameron understand...

Time with Joe's Family

Image
Saturday we spent some time with Cameron's great grandparents in Southern Pines and then arrived at Joe's parents house that afternoon! We took Sunday to relax and get Cameron into the swing of things there and then Monday we headed to the beach! Last year Cameron didn't like the beach at all and cried, but not this time! Cameron absolutely loved it! Joe's parents bought a pool for Cameron to play in when we weren't at the beach and Cameron loved that as well. Cameron had fun putting the toys outside of the pool and then picking them up and putting them back in the pool! We left the following Saturday and had an awesome lunch in Charlotte with our friends, Casey and Elizabeth Hopkins, and then we ended up in Spindale visiting with Cameron's other set of great grandparents. We made home on Sunday. We love had a blast seeing everyone and can't wait to see our families again!

Short Stop in Greensboro

Image
On Friday of our trip we went to Greensboro to visit with some friends for the night and then on Saturday we would finish our trip to the beach and Joe's family. We stayed the night with Dale and Stacey Collins but too bad we didn't get any pictures with them. We also had dinner with the Wommack clan Friday night and I did get a couple of pictures of Cameron with a couple of Emily and PJ's boys Issac and Adam. It was really cute to see the boys take care of Cameron, play with her and read to her! We love you guys, the Collins and the Wommacks! Maybe next time we will have more time to spend with you all! Here are a few pictures of the boys with Cameron reading to her!

Time with my Family

We had a fabulous time with my family while in NC. Cameron went to Emo Kim with no problem but it took her a while to warm up to Harmi and Papaw. But before the end of our time there she was lovin on Harmi and Papaw! I didn't get many pictures due to my camera being fixed so I took what I could with my phone. While outside playing one day Cameron found a Woolly Worm. She preceded to try and pick him up and I wouldn't let her but it did become scared.... Cameron L-O-V-E-S Dogs! Of course, Emo Kim's dog was no exception. Cameron played with Harmi a lot! My parents have a bird feeder and food for squirrels. It was neat seeing the animals come onto there patio and eat! A bird even made her nest right in Harmi outside boots! We went and saw my grandmother one day and Cameron didn't want anything to do with her, infact, she would cry when ever we tried to let Grandma hold her, but she gave her a kiss in the end! My dad has this contraption that helps him put on his sock...

Ohio and the Columbus Zoo

Image
Cameron and I were gone for two weeks, the end of June and beginning of July. It was vacation time and we started in Ohio with our best friends the Shoemakers. We meet up with them in a small town in OH and spent a quick but great weekend together. We all got there on Friday evening and had dinner together, the girls didn't even go to bed until 10:30 that night. After they were asleep the adults planned our Saturday. We initially were going to go to some gardens place and then swim in the indoor pool our hotel had. Kim, however, was smart enough to pick up some brochures of OH things to do and we decided that the Zoo in Columbus would be a great place to go. It was only an hour and fifteen minute drive from where we were so we went on Saturday morning. Mind you the girls nor the adults didn't get to bed till late and Cameron girl was ready to go at 7 am! I figured she would nap some on the way to the zoo, but nope she didn't. Then we all thought she would crash at some poin...
