Sitting Up

Image
Yes Sir! That is our Cameron sitting up by herself! She can only do this for about 15-20 sec on her own but that was long enough for me to get a few pics of her doing it! If Cameron is leaning on Joe or I she will pull herself up to a sitting position. If you lay her down for floor time she is lifting her head and legs up in the air to try and sit up! She is a hoot! Cameron is growing up way too fast!

I can't help myself! I just love taking photos of our girl! Isn't this one a hoot! Tired Baby! I see you!

Our new Boston Terrier FJ

Image
Ok so it is not a real Boston Terrier but a stuffed one. Actually it is a Webkinz toy, which we didn't know until we were home. We, as a family, were clothes shopping this past weekend and Joe saw the stuffed animal and saw that it was a Boston. So of course we had to get it for Cameron it didn't really matter the cost. When we got home, as I was taking the tag off, I noticed that it was a Webkinz animal. I asked Joe if he knew that when he picked it up and of course Joe didn't and then I looked at the receipt and saw that it was $15.00! Oh well, what are we going to do. :) We named it FJ, Flair Junior, and it sits at the end of Cameron's bed in a corner. Cameron likes it so it is worth it to us!

5 Months Old

Image
Time sure does fly! Cameron turned 5 months old on Saturday (6-20). Our sweet girl is getting bigger by the day. Cameron recognizes Joe and I not only by face but by voice and she will look to find us if she hears us. Cameron is also grasping things with both hands and starting to pull things toward her. She can turn on her side but has not mastered turning over yet either from tummy to back or back to tummy. When Cameron does have tummy time, she is kicking her legs almost constantly and even today got her butt up in the air. Cameron is also starting to take an interest in what Joe and I eat and drink, too soon we will be starting solids. Her laughter is contagious and her smile is gorgeous. We are feeding every 4 hours with our last feeding at 10:30 at night. Cameron is in bed by 8 and sleeps until 7 am. Her naps are not consistent but we are working on that. Cameron is such a blessing to us! Keep growing and learning my bug a boo! We love you Cameron!

Happy Father's Day Joe!

Image
Joe's first Father's Day! It has been a relaxing day. We got up lazily this morning and Joe wanted waffles and bacon for breakfast so that is what I made for us. He opened his cards and received the present that Cameron and I made for him which is a hand print of Cameron's in clay. Then we lounged around and watched some golf and played with Cameron. Joe wanted to go out last night for Father's Day dinner and we went to Kobe, a Japanese steak house, and had yummy food! This morning before breakfast Cameron and I saying "Happy Father's Day" The gift Pictures of Cameron and Dad Happy Father's Day JOE! I love you so much! You are a GREAT father to our Cameron!

Simpson Update

Last night while I was reading a friend's blog Joe had mentioned that I just hadn't done a real written update in a while. I have been doing blogs with pictures, for those of you who read my blog, but not a real update. So here we go... We are in the middle of our busy summer. Starting with Memorial Day back in May, we have been out of town more than in our own home. We went up to North Chicago for Memorial Day weekend, then had a weekend off, and then back up to North Chicago for a golf outing (6-8) that Joe and some of our friends were in. Then that very same week(6-11) we started our way to NC via TN and was able to visit with friends and family. Joe's cousin Hayley graduated from high school, the reason for our trip, and it was awesome for Cameron to meet family members and friends of ours from college! We had a wonderful time, as seen in pictures from previous post, loved seeing everyone, and loved surprising my family as well! The only thing that could have been b...

Day 4 and the end of our trip

Image
Day four of our trip started us in Spindale where we got some cute pics of Cameron with her great Uncle Kenny. Joe and I both wanted a generation picture so here is 4 generations...Cameron, Joe(Dad), Nana, and Joe's Dad Mike. Then we were off to Granite Falls, just outside of Hickory, to see our good friends the Lackey's, Melissa, and Kelley! Finally, we decided to surprise my parents in Winston-Salem with a quick visit so that they could meet their first grand daughter! My parents were very surprised! And so was my sister Kim! We hated to leave my parents but knew it was for the best so that we wouldn't be driving 12 hours plus the next day. We are finally back home (Monday 6-15) and loved being able to see family and friends on this trip! We are going back down to NC in several weeks for our annual beach vacation and we hope to see more family and friends then!

Day 3 of our Trip

Image
Day 3 was Saturday the day of Hayley's graduation from High School. Cameron and I didn't go because of the heat and I wanted her nice and rested for the afternoon of people and food. Not that Cameron ate any of the BBQ or cake we had but I wanted her to be happy for all the relatives. Joe took our camera and took a couple of pictures of the graduation but none of them could you see his cousin, so I just posted one. Here is my beautiful girl sitting in her bumbo chair while we are waiting for the BBQ. Cameron and Uncle Kenny Cameron and Aunt Cathey Cameron and newly graduated from H.S Hayley Some more pics of Cameron and Doob Cameron was such a good girl! Everyone just loved her and she did great meeting everyone and taking her naps like she did!

Day 2 of our trip

Image
On Friday we started out from Nashville and headed to NC. Let my start by saying the purpose of this trip was so that we could go to Joe's cousin Hayley's graduation. We stayed at Joe's grandparents house in Spindale, and this was the first time that his extended family got to see Cameron. Napping in the car on the way to Spindale. My baby has two teeth in, this is the best picture I have of them. Finally reached Spindale around 3:45 pm and Nana was super excited to finally meet her great granddaughter!

Starting in Nashville

Image
We started our trip to NC by going through Nashville, TN to see our great friend Kelly and her beautiful daughter Gabriella! We got there Thursday late afternoon and had a wonderful evening hanging out and catching up! The pictures are backwards as far as when they happened I need to remember that blogger puts the picture you upload last at the top of the page instead of at the bottom of the page, oh well! Kelly was so sweet! She made me a birthday cake! My birthday is not until this Thursday but since we were there she thought she would do that for me! We chowed down on the cake after the girls were in bed! Cameron did a wonderful job being in a new place and hanging out with Kelly and Gabriella! Kelly and I with my birthday cake! Our sweet girls together. This was taken at the very beginning of our trip to Nashville. Love you Kelly and Gabriella! It was wonderful seeing you both!
