Simpson's Journey

Every October a group of us ladies, has a girl weekend! I love it so much and get to get away for a weekend and trade in my mommy hat for my Eve hat! :) I start with seeing my great friends the Terrillion's and spend on night with them. Then onto Asheville, NC where I meet up with the same group of amazing ladies!

How can we live life with out friends? We can't! So thankful for good friends both for me and my babes!  My how I love these women! We were able to go out to dinner while our kids were all in the same VBS! It is so wonderful to get together with other ladies who make me happy! Cameron with 2 of her friends in front of their school on the day that the class list were posted!   Time with friends eating frozen yogurt! Lastly, Michael and his friend Nora, walking into their preschool to drop off school supplies and meet their teacher!

For my 40th birthday this year, I wanted to go to Chicago and do some of the tourist things I haven't done before. We went up to stay with Aunt Christy, Mr. Matt and the bulldogs,  and had a wonderful day downtown Chicago! We got on the 'L", and headed to the Hancock building. Aunt Christy came with us, but didn't go up the Hancock. The "360" view was amazing! Chicago will always amaze me I think! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch, then hopped on a bus to head to Navy Pier. I wanted to do the new Sky Wheel and the kids love "ferris wheels"! Some other pictures of the city.  That was all on Friday, on Saturday Joe's parents flew in for Becky's graduation from Grad school on Sunday. We had Portillo's for lunch and hung out with Becky. Sunday was graduation, Becky graduated with 2 masters! We are so proud of her!

I just love my mom's group and the fun we have together. We have a small Christmas time for the kids and then us mommas got to have some time just for us! Love these ladies!

October was a busy month, my girl weekend in NC, baby sitting, game night at Cameron's school, daddy's night at Michael's school, and getting ready for Halloween. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the month.

The kids and I went down to TN to visit with my best friend Kelly and her kids. This is the second year in a row and I am hoping that this tradition continues for a long time! Kelly has 5 kids and so there is always someone to play with! Just hanging out at the house or going to play in the water we have a great time seeing them and having fun together!
