Simpson's Journey

 Michael is 7 months old and time is flying! I can't believe that he is just 5 months away from turning 1! Michael is nursing on a 4 hour schedule during the day and through the night :)  Michael gets solids 3 times a day and will eat pretty much what we are having.  If it is something I don't think it is appropriate then he will get yogurt.  Foods Michael has tried, applesauce, banana, mango, pears, peaches, green beans, cauliflower, carrots, bread, yogurt, some cereals, spaghetti, ravioli, and whatever else we eat. Unofficially, Michael weights about 15.5 lbs (weighed on our own scale), and is wearing 9 month clothes. Favorite things haven't changed, Mom, Dad, Cameron, Flair.  Loves to sit up and is trying very hard to do so by himself. Michael is also starting to drop his last short nap of the day. If he does take it, it is usually no longer than 20 min, but it is enough to get him to bedtime. Loves listening to me sing ABC song and lo...

It was Cameron's friend Katie's birthday and Katie's mom was able to get Belle to come to the party! Here are some of the friends having cupcakes and other snacks. Group picture with Belle!  We started Michael on solids at 6 months.  I must say that he will try anything and will continue to try and eat until there is nothing left!  We started out with Mum Mums and he loved being able to just eat with us.  We moved on to fruits and veggies from there and now he is getting pretty much what we eat.  We give him soft, small sized pieces of what ever is on our plate with in reason. Michael loves yogurt and like to feed himself.  Here is Michael feeding himself yogurt. I just put some on the spoon and put it in his hand and he does the rest! Michael is eating peaches here. Michael loves to eat and am glad!

I have been wanting to go to the Peoria Zoo for a while and we had a very nice Saturday that allowed us to go to that Zoo! It has an Africa side that we don't have in Bloomington so it was nice to get to see giraffes, lions, and rhinos.  We had a wonderful time together as a family! LOVE doing things together!

 Cameron's first field trip of her school year was to Rader's Farm. We all got to go even DAD! It is a pumpkin patch with lots of fun things to do. First, a short video of farm life and of course, Michael! Then the kids went and saw the different animals that this farm has. Goats, chicks, rabbits, pigs, and sheep were some of the animals we saw.  We all went on a wagon ride to get the pumpkin, the jumping pillow is always a favorite and finally the corn bins! Cameron loves going to this farm every year!

Michael is 6 months old and we couldn't be happier with our little man!  Michael's doctor appointment was good. He weighs 14.8 lbs and 26 inches long.  Michael has now got his two bottom teeth, and we think that he is teething again.  Michael had become a side/tummy sleeper. He is rolling everywhere! Michael even rolled himself under his bed! We started Michael on solids a week before he turned 6 months. He is eating MumMums and some fruits and veggies. We are talking it very slow.  Michael is on a good 4 hour schedule during the day and still eats at least twice in the night.  I am really hoping he will sleep through the night soon!
