Cameron

We found out this year that Cameron has Ulcerative Colitis. This has been a tough journey for Cameron, for us as a family, and as parents especially because we can't take this away from her. This month alone, she went to the emergency room 3 times and was hospitalized for a week before Christmas.  We can't say enough about the support we got from family and friends! Our small group from church went far and above by coming to the hospital and visiting and praying for Cameron. My mom's group blessed us with a gas gift card and a grocery gift card and many prayers. The hospital staff were amazing and the Childrens hospital in Peoria, IL had lots of fun things for the kids to do during this season. They had a craft room where we could make ornaments.  Staff came around singing Christmas Carols  Base Ball players came and handed out book bags and toys Police officers also handed out toys What a great way to uplift these kids spirits who would have to stay i...

Cameron turns 8!

Image
We have an 8 year old! Time sure does fly, and we are enjoying our journey with Cameron! Cameron is fun, energetic, loving, sweet, and a little silly at times, and we love her to pieces! We have made it a tradition to go have lunch with her at school on her birthday, and this year we were able to go and sit in the commons area for 2nd grade. After school Cameron opened up her presents before we headed out for her birthday dinner with her friend Jacob. Happiest of Birthdays Cameron! WE love you very much!
