Summer Vacation 2014 Part 1

Our summer vacation this year was a two week adventure covering the entire state of North Carolina! We were able to see family and friends the first week and then the second week more family and Ocean Isle Beach! We were in the car just over a total of 52 hours and we traveled just over 3000 miles! We had a wonderful time and are so glad that we were able to do so much and see so many!

Our trip starts in Spindale, NC, from June 20 - June 23, where Joe's grandparents live.

We made it to Nana, Papaw and Uncle Kenny's house for our first leg of NC. The kids did great in the car for the eleven hour adventure. Here Michael was finally free of his car seat and loving on his Great Nana!

Joe's cousin Hayley to your right and Bruce, her boyfriend, are really great with Cameron and Michael! They brought the bat and ball, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk so our kids could play!


During our stay in Spindale, our great friends, the Collins, lived about hour and half away and we couldn't resist a visit to see them and their new addition Madeline!

Here is Bryson, Cameron and Michael in their living room and little Madeline is with her momma Stacey.

Fall Vacation

Today Joe and Todd went to Fogcutter and watched the Bears game while Kim and I went shopping. We meet up with the boys and went to dinner at On the Border, a great Mexican restaurant, and then back to downtown Chicago to go see the Blue Man Group. We had a fun time there at Briar Street Theater and the show was very entertaining. At the end of the show they had everyone pass tons of streamers from the back of the theater to the front and through all of the paper I briefly lost my engagement ring. Luckily a girl found it who was sitting right behind me! I thanked her a million times and thanked God for letting us get the ring back. After wards the Blue Men we out in the lobby and we were able to take pictures with them! What an enjoyable night!

15 months

Joe and I can't believe that we have a 15 month old on our hands! Cameron girl is growing so fast and becoming such a sweet little person. She is very loving to us and is willing to go to our neighbors at any point and time. Cameron loves playing outside, going for walks, and playing with her friend Connor. She is still into books and will willing sit with them by herself or brings them to me for me to read to her. Cameron lights up when Joe gets home from work and will sign/ask for Daddy often through out the day. Cameron has become more attached to her blanket everyday. Cameron will rarely get out of her crib these days without clinging to her blanket. She doesn't need to take it with her when going places, she just likes having it with her right after a wake up time be it in the morning or after naps. At Cameron's doctor appointment she only weights 17 lbs, she only gained 8 oz in three months. The doctor wanted to do a urine sample to check for urinary track infection ...
