PREGNANT!

Image
Finally doing the pregnancy post!  I know I needed to do one as soon as we found out we were pregnant but just didn't happen.  We found out July 14th and I was only 4 weeks pregnant. Joe and I have been trying for about a year and so excited that it didn't take us as long as it took to get pregnant with Cameron! We had an appointment at 6 weeks to make sure baby was in the right spot, so ultrasound and blood work.  My doctor wanted to check my progesterone levels and found out I was really low. So I had to be on progesterone meds for 6 weeks with complete restrictions.  I could do N-O-T-H-I-N-G!  Not fun for me! We also had to go back a couple more times for ultrasounds to make sure baby was progressing fine.  We loved the ultrasounds because we could see the baby and hear the heartbeat! I was nauseous almost everyday and it only came on after I would eat. I would get hungry, eat, get nauseous, a vicious cycle!  At 14 weeks I started to not get so na...

Basement Remodel Guest Room

Image
Many of you have heard that we were having our basement remodeled so that we could have a  guest room since we needed to move Cameron to the old guest room to have a nursery again.  So this is the Guest Room portion of the project. So this was one big unfinished room and  the part you can't see was more concrete flooring and walls.  Wanted to separate the laundry/furnace/water heater "room" and take the other half for the new guest room.  The new boards for walls.  Drywall is up and we did put in a small closet.  The completed new room with carpet, light, paint, doors and trim. Complete with the furniture that was in Cameron's now room. Joe and I loved the way it came out and we couldn't be more pleased with our new guest room!

Cameron's New Room

Image
Once the basement was finished (blog to come)we were able to move Cameron into her new room! Cameron loves being in the bigger bedroom and couldn't wait to sleep in her new bed! Yes, she has a desk that we weren't really using and Cameron loves having a place to color or draw! This room looks much bigger than it did with a queen bed in it! We are so glad she loves her new room and bed!

Cameron's first Field Trip

Image
Cameron went on her first field trip with her preschool at the end of September to a Pumpkin Patch Farm called Rader Farms.  We went to Rader's last year and Cameron had a ball! She even kept asking through out the year "when would the farm be open?" So you can imagine how happy she was that she was going there with her class! Sitting in the Red School learning about animals on the farm. Picking her own pumpkin. Jumping on the inflatable pillow. Enjoying the Lady Bug ride. Playing in the Corn bins. The Whole Class! Cameron had a wonderful time and I am glad she is getting these awesome experiences!

Chicago Trip

Image
On Joe's birthday weekend we went up to Chicago saw some friends, went to a Cubs games, spent time with the Aunties, and Cameron got to do a couple of first for her! Here is Daddy and Cameron on Cameron's first train ride to get to Wriggly Field.  Cameron enjoyed being able to sit by herself and looking out the window. We went to the Cubs game because we were there  to support an old school friend of Joe's.  It was Safety Awareness Day at the Game! Chirstine lost her husband who was a Civil Engineer to a car accident while he was working.  Christine was able to throw out the "first pitch".  Cameron really enjoyed being at the game and she was excellent through the hot day!  We were even able to stay through the 7th inning! Our row wasn't too full so she had some room to move around and loved singing Take me Out to the Ball Game! On the way home she crashed on the train on Daddy's lap! Finally, we took a city bus to a Korean restau...
