Side Rail Gone

I was on my way home from the grocery store on Friday and Joe calls me and ask if Cameron's side rail was up or down when I left, I told him up.  Well, Cameron was able to climb into the crib with the side up, NOT a good thing.  We have been talking for a while about taking on of the sides off and giving Cameron easy access to her bed, well that time has come!

So we took it off after nap on Friday and explained that this is the way Cameron's bed is going to be.  So she went to bed that night and went to sleep right away but with the bad dreams she has been having it wasn't a good night.

So onto today for nap time.  Cameron decided that she was going to read and play instead of taking a nap.  So I went in first after about 10 min because she was playing with a toy that made noise.  We put the toy back where it belonged and she got  back to bed and I told her to stay there.  Joe has to go in about 10 min later because she was playing with another sound toy and had five books in her bed.  Joe took them away and told her to go back to bed and nap.  Cameron talks for about another 10 min and then falls asleep and this is the best picture I could get!

After 30 min of playing she was in her bed sleeping!  Cameron took a 1h and 50 min nap today!  She woke up grabbed several books and got back in bed and when Joe and I walked into her room to get her from nap she was sitting in her bed reading :)

Fall Vacation

Today Joe and Todd went to Fogcutter and watched the Bears game while Kim and I went shopping. We meet up with the boys and went to dinner at On the Border, a great Mexican restaurant, and then back to downtown Chicago to go see the Blue Man Group. We had a fun time there at Briar Street Theater and the show was very entertaining. At the end of the show they had everyone pass tons of streamers from the back of the theater to the front and through all of the paper I briefly lost my engagement ring. Luckily a girl found it who was sitting right behind me! I thanked her a million times and thanked God for letting us get the ring back. After wards the Blue Men we out in the lobby and we were able to take pictures with them! What an enjoyable night!

15 months

Joe and I can't believe that we have a 15 month old on our hands! Cameron girl is growing so fast and becoming such a sweet little person. She is very loving to us and is willing to go to our neighbors at any point and time. Cameron loves playing outside, going for walks, and playing with her friend Connor. She is still into books and will willing sit with them by herself or brings them to me for me to read to her. Cameron lights up when Joe gets home from work and will sign/ask for Daddy often through out the day. Cameron has become more attached to her blanket everyday. Cameron will rarely get out of her crib these days without clinging to her blanket. She doesn't need to take it with her when going places, she just likes having it with her right after a wake up time be it in the morning or after naps. At Cameron's doctor appointment she only weights 17 lbs, she only gained 8 oz in three months. The doctor wanted to do a urine sample to check for urinary track infection ...
