New Car

My 10 year old car a Hyundai Sante Fe, which has been a really good car.  We started having issues with it about 2 summers ago and ended up with a brand new engine and a new catalytic converter.  Then the power steering went out so had to fix that, then the other catalytic converter wasn't working but we never replaced that, and finally an air bag sensor needed to be fixed.  We decided that enough was enough and started looking at new cars.  We were initially going to get a van but in the long run we both decided that we really didn't need what a van offers and we really liked the idea of having better gas mileage.

In comes the GMC Terrain.

This car gets 32/MPG highway!  We are super excited about that due to our long drives to NC that we make at least twice a year!  We have a 7in touch screen display for navigation and music.  It is much roomier than my Sante Fe and the back seat actually moves 8 inches to give us a little more cargo space. We loved the price we got for it and for my old car!

Fall Vacation

Today Joe and Todd went to Fogcutter and watched the Bears game while Kim and I went shopping. We meet up with the boys and went to dinner at On the Border, a great Mexican restaurant, and then back to downtown Chicago to go see the Blue Man Group. We had a fun time there at Briar Street Theater and the show was very entertaining. At the end of the show they had everyone pass tons of streamers from the back of the theater to the front and through all of the paper I briefly lost my engagement ring. Luckily a girl found it who was sitting right behind me! I thanked her a million times and thanked God for letting us get the ring back. After wards the Blue Men we out in the lobby and we were able to take pictures with them! What an enjoyable night!

15 months

Joe and I can't believe that we have a 15 month old on our hands! Cameron girl is growing so fast and becoming such a sweet little person. She is very loving to us and is willing to go to our neighbors at any point and time. Cameron loves playing outside, going for walks, and playing with her friend Connor. She is still into books and will willing sit with them by herself or brings them to me for me to read to her. Cameron lights up when Joe gets home from work and will sign/ask for Daddy often through out the day. Cameron has become more attached to her blanket everyday. Cameron will rarely get out of her crib these days without clinging to her blanket. She doesn't need to take it with her when going places, she just likes having it with her right after a wake up time be it in the morning or after naps. At Cameron's doctor appointment she only weights 17 lbs, she only gained 8 oz in three months. The doctor wanted to do a urine sample to check for urinary track infection ...
