Simpson's Journey

January 20th 2010 Cameron turns ONE YEAR OLD!!!! We went and had lunch with Daddy at State Farm ! For dinner we had pasta bake, which happens to be one of her favorite things to eat and she got it in her hair, hands, face, you name it, it had sauce on it! Cameron girl your Mommy and Daddy love you so much and we are very blessed to have you in our lives!

So I realized that I forgot to put in her birthday post about her doctors visit. Cameron girl is very healthy and doesn't have the baby fat that a lot of babies have. Cameron weights 16 lbs and 7.5 oz, is 28 inches long and her head circumference is 16 3/4 inches. Even though her weight is just below the 3% line the doctor says that she is gaining well and looks good! I was worried about her weight the most since the last doctors visit because the doctor was talking about having to run test and such to make sure she there was no reason medically that she wasn't gaining a lot of weight. Well she is doing fine! We have been drinking whole milk for a while. I started weaning at 11 months because of her weight and she didn't have any problems. If anything I almost hated giving up the morning nursing (the last to go) because I loved nursing her so much and at the time of day with Cameron just waking up it was great bonding time. I do miss nursing but I know that whole milk ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON GIRL!!!! OK so her birthday was on the 20th, I know I know, I am so behind but I am trying to fix that by doing blogging on Friday nights. I don't have any shows to watch on Friday night so after Cameron goes to bed I will be blogging. Hopefully I won't become a slacker about doing it! On to her birthday celebration! Joe's parents flew into Bloomington and his sisters drove down Friday night so we could celebrate Cameron's birthday on Saturday. Cameron didn't know what to do at first with her cupcake. Christy ended up putting some frosting on her finger then putting said finger in Cameron's mouth. But even after that she wouldn't eat the cupcake unless we broke it up for her. I can't believe that she wouldn't just smash it up with her hands herself, oh well she still ate it all! :) On to the presents! Cameron really enjoys toys that make music and light up....but what baby wouldn't! Not too long ago she had a frog toy and a fish toy both that make music and she had them both going at the same time. If the frog stopped she would make it go and as soon as the fish stop she would make it go there was no break in the music and she did this for about 10 minutes. Now I didn't get it on video but I did get a couple of pictures of her doing this. Too cute!

Happy New Year everyone! 2009 brought us our Cameron girl and what a wonderful journey Joe and I have gone through with her so far! From the C-Section birth, issues with nursing in the beginning, crying a lot instead of napping, to finally rolling around at 6 months, starting solids at 6 months, the laughter and fun, to her walking with holding our hands, and then crawling at 10 1/2 months, her first Christmas and finally her first New Year, we have experienced a lot with Cameron girl and can't wait to see what is going to happen in 2010. 2010 will bring us Cameron's first birthday (this month), walking on her own, talking, and becoming more of an independent little person. Joe and I can't wait to see what this year will bring us for our journey with Cameron girl! We also can't wait to see how Cameron girl will grow and change over this year! Here is to our family and friends and hope that 2010 will be a year of many blessings! We love you all!

Cameron has been crawling since we got back from NC/Thanksgiving trip. I have had this video since and I am sorry that I haven't posted it before. Actually I tried and it failed, but I am glad that it worked. This is when Cameron is finding her rythem with the crawling so she is slow. Cameron is actually going to Flair's dish while he is eating and wanting to play with his food. Cameron is now Speedy Gonzalas with the crawling and can get anywhere she wants. Sometimes she is crawling so fast that she falls on her face because her arms can't keep up with the pace she really wants to go. She will usually giggle and keep going. Cameron is walking around using furniture, and mommy or daddy's hands to help her. Cameron enjoys walking but understands that she can get somewhere faster by crawling.
