Green Beans

Ok so I am taking a stab at making my own baby food. So I started with green beans, bananas, apples, and peas. I couldn't get the green bean as smooth as I wanted so any suggestions from those of you who did make your own green beans please let me know.

So Cameron started off with eating green beans.

Ready for the first bite.

And not so much!

The second day I tried it this is what she looked like after a little bit in her mouth.

To me that is priceless! Needless to say she didn't eat the green beans not even the jar that I bought from the store. We started apples yesterday with no success but we will try again for lunch today and see how that goes!

We started with green beans too, which Hayden loved for awhile and now he won't eat them unless I add garlic. They're so funny! We started with the foods I ate the most of when I was pregnant and nursing, since he would most likely recognize those tastes. They don't eat much at first, don't worry! Just keep at it, she'll be an eater in no time!
Nathan hated the texture of my greenbeans too. I tried mixing banana in the green beans and that helped a little, but I learned that stage one foods are not only pureed but also strained, to get the fibers out. At first you might have better luck with making things that will be more smooth, avocado, banana, peach, beans, ... and waiting until she's more ready for the texture. Then again, it doesn't hurt to try again and again!
